Memory Tag

My friend Lori had this great "tag" posted on her blog. It's easy and fun, so give it a shot! Here is how it goes:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember, good or bad but be nice please! ;)

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments!

Alisha! I know what you mean about college being a long time ago. It's sad when you have flashes so many memories but can't quite pin point one. But, for some reason, my memories of you had to do with ALWAYS making fun of me and Jill. I swear you were always laughing at something, and I loved that about you. I also have a crazy memory of you coming over to our apartment and all of us playing some crazy game with lipstick? And then the roadtrips...Hawaii...Oh what memories!
A more recent, fond memory I have of you is when we both had our little girls and you came to visit. I remember it being wierd because we were in such a different stage of life, but I remember bonding with you again over our new stage! Thanks for being such a great friend and thanks for the memories! Love ya!

Unfortunately we didnt have enough time to really get to know each other and have a lot of memories. What I can say is that every time I came to your house to let the kids play, I always felt a little closer to home. I was such a fish out of water in Kentucky and you know how much I 'loved' my living situation....you just always made me feel like you truly cared and could relate to me on some level since you werent from there either. I have always wished that we had been able to spend more time together but love that we keep in touch still. We may never see each other again, but I really feel like you are a great friend. Thank you!

As a sibling you have millions of memories of different games we would play and things as a family we would do. One memory I remember very well is when you came back from college and we went to open gym at Lassiter with the varsity boys and you shot the lights out and everyone said geez Wes your sister shoots better than you do. I found it very funny to see their reaction when you beat them. I am so glad that I have a sister like yourself. We love you very much!

I remember (like it was yesterday) sitting in your basement and watching the kids play and just chatting. I don't know who killjoy is but you are about as "real" as they come and I so appreciate that about you! I'm really glad we are friends!

Two memories. Me a freshman, I get a catch on the wing, and you are practically in my shorts. You continued to pressure me so much until I thought...woah....this girl is serious about her pickup. You taught me a lot...and carried on that tradition with every freshman that came in after me. I also did it in games to a few girls that I knew didn't want to go to the hole. Second memory...is of a story you told about when you were under the basket in high school throwing the ball in. You were doing a baseball pass(cause you were the softball player, so the coach picked you to launch it downcourt) you then proceeded to chuck it into the back of the backboard and it knocked you out cold. This story could've been about someone else, but b/c I remember you telling it, I picture it as you in my head. I am laughing right now, and I laugh at random times when I tell it. It lives on.
